Easjyjet is the second largest low cost airline in Europe after RyanAir. The airline company was founded in 1995 and it annually flies to 132 destinations.
Many Danish travellers choose Easyjet due to their favourable prices. In fact, the airline company is the third most used one in Denmark. From Copenhagen Easyjet has weekly 126 departures and transports 1.5 million travellers annually to their destinations.
Sometimes passengers of Easyjet are either denied to be boarded on flight or experience delays and cancellations. In such cases they may have the opportunity to receive compensation with value of up to 600 € per person.
Each and every passenger is covered under EU Regulation 261/2004 about air passenger rights. According to the regulation, the airline passengers may be entitled to compensation with value of up to 600 € per person in certain conditions.
The condition for eligibility to the compensation states that your flight must be delayed for at least 3 hours or cancelled. If you are denied to be boarded to an Easyjet flight, you may also be entitled to compensation. The regulation applies to trips made within EU (including Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, etc.) and with airline companies that belong to these countries.
If you are affected by the situations described in the previous section, you may be entitled to a compensation with value of up to 600 € per person. If you lived through mentioned conditions, Easyjet has to pay the compensation.
Easyjet is normally good at paying compensation if they accept that they caused the delay or cancellation. Sometimes the airline can refuse to pay the compensation, but in such situations, Flycancel will escalate the case to the highest instance, the Transport Authority, which will make the final decision.
If the National Traffic Authority considers that Easyjet is responsible for the delay or cancellation, the passengers are entitled to compensation with value of up to 600 € per person.
At Flycancel you can claim for compensation for your flight delay or cancellation against Easyjet. It's quite easy to start a case against Easyjet airlines. It just requires you to go to www.flycancel.com. Here you can fill out the form on the front page and submit a copy of your ticket.
